Autumn Al Fresco Bridal Shower

Now that our bellies are stuffed with turkey and our hearts full of thanks, we’re holding on to the last bits of autumn before winter hits the scene. And what better way to savor the season than a bridal shower centered on just that. It’s an outdoor gathering of girlfriends coordinated by Candice Beaty and blooms by Rebekah Clark Moody. More from Kathryn McCrary in  the pretty gallery right here.

From Kathryn McCraryWith fall in full swing, crisp colors and warm afternoons are to be cherished and savored. Candice Beaty (of Chancey Charm Weddings) used this as an excuse to pull together some of her favorite vendors and create an autumn themed bridal shower. Using ruby reds, cozy sweaters and the ever-lovable golden delicious apple as her inspiration, she styled the photo shoot to be carefree and intimate so that no maid of honor or bridesmaid would feel threatened to throw a similar shower for their bride-to-be.

American Threads provided the girls with fun and casual fall clothes that Molly Webb used to style the girls effortlessly. Claudia Mejerle topped off the looks with soft makeup and flowy hair to give the girls a polished yet fresh look for the shower.

Beautifully customized place settings (by Jenn Gietzen) adorned with an apple favor welcomed the girls into a yummy luncheon in the autumn daylight. Crisp bourbon cocktails, delectable plum and apple treats after a scrumptious and yummy feast (from Heirloom Café and Shae Rehmel of home.made catering) all filled the guests tummies as they laughed together.

Breathtaking florals (by Rebekah Clark Moody) dreamily captured the essence of fall’s warmth in a natural way. A stunning fabric hanging (another Jenn Gietzen stunner) with a quote to celebrate their friendships was the perfect addition to an already gorgeous ivy backdrop. Kathryn McCrary was able to capture all of the gorgeous details of the day and the celebration of the shower to showcase all of the wonderful inspiration for the autumn themed bridal shower.

Jenn’s banner reads “You’re pretty much my most favorite of all time in the history of ever”, which perfectly sums up how all of these vendors feel about this day spent together creating this beautiful fall photo shoot.

Berry Colored Engagement Session

As you creep out of your Thanksgiving food coma – or dive into those leftovers for breakfast (no judgement!) – we’ve got an engagement styled by A & B Creative that basically defines a wedding blogger’s dream. Gorgeous setting? Check. Pretty details? Check. One madly-in-love-couple? You better believe it. Em The Gem captured the goodies all sitting right here.

From Em The Gem… These images of Felix and Kristarae remind me of the classic Northern California beauty that Alfred Hitchcock fell in love with in the 60′s. The gown Rebekah found from Kristarae fit like it was custom made for her and was the perfect pop of color to offset our typical Bay Area atmosphere.

We also took this as an opportunity to photograph their invitations since they would be later having a San Francisco City Hall wedding. I love that these photos capture not only the heart of this couple, but so much of the essence of the Bay Area and why we love living here so much!

California Spring Garden Wedding

We’ve seen our fair share of al fresco lovefests, but there’s something about this garden affair that takes California pretty to a whole new level. Simple yet chic, Coastyle Events crafted a day filled with lush greens by Feather Acres and contemporary touches. Combined with the talent of Troy Grover behind the lens and video captured by Renéemudd, you can guarantee that every moment will be beautiful.

From Troy Grover PhotographersA wish-I-was-there type of wedding. From the moment you entered the lush gardens, you immediately felt the warmth and love dedicated to the details of the nuptials, paired with a contagious energy from all of the friends, family and bridal party (there were 24!) gathered to celebrate the adorable couple.

The wedding was simple, yet elegant, pulling in old elements like the bride’s grandma’s 1940′s cake topper with contemporary touches of woodfired pizza, long, ticking-striped runners & branded, san-seriffed stationery. Much of it was the DIY handy work of the bride and her mother, and far from looking DIY at all. The bride designed all of the wedding stationery, made the farm-to-table runners, modern table numbers, and dusted every mid-century modern pizza stand with a fabulous gold finish. The bride’s mother arranged the bridal party’s bouquets along with the boutonnieres and was the vision behind the amazing oversized lanterns that paved the aisle to the old fern that covered the alter.

The ceremony was serenaded with live music from the bride’s two uncles and sister who’s 3-part harmony was nothing short of incredible, which set the mood for the entire evening.

As the evening transitioned into a gazebo lit reception stranded with whimsical market lights, the remainder of the night was idyllic— speeches-epic, dance party-unbeatable, and happy couple? Just watch the video… quite possibly the happiest newlyweds you’ve ever seen!
